Chatbox is the messaging center of your site: members see a list of dialogs, write to each other, attach files, delete single messages or clear a dialog, and keep favorite contacts. You can make writing a paid action: set a price for one message, and members pay for it from their site balance.
Where to set the price
Open your admin panel: Dating Funnels → Customize your service → System → Chatbox.
In the field Message cost, $ enter the price of one message.
Save the page.
Chatbox has no separate item in the left menu, so use the path above.
What members see
Members write from the Chatbox window or from the Send message button on a profile. A paid message is paid from the member's site balance, so a member with an empty balance has to top it up first (see Customers for adding money by hand).
What must work first
A working payment system, so members can top up their balance: Accept payments on your dating site.
Optional: limit how many messages each membership group can read or send, in Access permissions (see Memberships).
Pay per message or sell coins?
Paid messages work well together with a virtual currency: members buy coin packs and spend them on messages, gifts and boosts. Read Virtual currency to compare.
