The Companions module creates an online space where your site members can look for travel companions or someone to go to an event with.

This is how it works:

A site member creates an event by telling where she or he would like to go and who with — a man or a woman, the preferred age range, and whether there are going to be extra costs involved, to be shared or not. Other site members can view the event and request to be accepted.

You as the site administrator can create companion ads as well. By doing so, you fill out the same fields — looking for, preferred age range, purpose of the trip, destination, and so on. Apart from that, you need to indicate the companion ad owner by selecting the name from the list of site users:

The following settings (/admin/companions/settings/) are available for this module:

Days until notification defines when the trip reminder should be sent, prior to the start date of the trip.
​Select only one gender/purpose limits the options for the companion ad owner.
