GDPR-compliant data export

Right to data portability built-in — members can download all their account data anytime

Written by Yanar

Every Dating Pro site includes a built-in tool that lets members download a full archive of their personal data. This satisfies GDPR Article 20 (Right to Data Portability) and is available on all installations out of the box — no plugins, no custom development required.

Where members find it

Logged-in members go to Settings → Download my data, select which data categories to include, and click Create archive. The system prepares the export and provides a download link.

What's included in the archive

The export covers every category of personal data the platform stores about the user:

  • Profile, email, password settings

  • IM chat messages, comments, wall posts

  • Payments, subscriptions, bonus balance

  • Photos, videos, audio uploads

  • Likes, winks, LikeMe activity, ratings

  • Virtual gifts, money gifts, gifts of membership

  • Tickets, Perfect Match results, events, banners

  • Blacklist, social network connections

Why this matters for your business

  • Legal compliance. GDPR applies whenever you have EU users, regardless of where your business is registered. Fines reach €20M or 4% of annual revenue.

  • Zero admin workload. Members generate their own archives. Your team doesn't process data subject requests manually.

  • Trust signal. Visible data control increases sign-up conversion, especially among EU and UK users.

  • Audit-ready. A documented, automated process you can show regulators on demand.

The feature complements the Delete account option in the same settings menu, which addresses GDPR Article 17 (Right to Erasure).
